Got new issue of Company which had interviews with various feminist activists and an article on the rise of online cute. I got the new issue of DIVA - it had an interesting article on a new book called Art + Queer Culture - it sounded really good but it's ridiculously expensive so I can't afford it. RIP Fes Parker --- I met him through Ceramic Hobs and I always thought his music was really under-rated.
And also (although I'm still waiting to see this definitely confirmed) RIP Lux Interior of The Cramps. I love Lux and Ivy, they seemed like such a great couple and I loved their style.

Happy New year to everyone. 2007 was still a bit of a mixed bag for me. I increased my hours at work and I thought that would go well but sadly personal/health problems have led to a lot of ups & downs and time off work but hopefully I'll be able to get that sorted out soon. When I went across to the dentists during the week, I went to the lovely cafe nearby and nabbed a couple of back issues of Vice. Still, today I went Christmas shopping with my mum so we could get some Christmas food from M & S, and we could get a couple of presents for each other. As well as The Priscillas interview it had some interesting articles on lads mags, periods, footballers wives, slash fiction, street harassment and ethical consumerism as well as interviews with academics and an Iraqi activist.
